Ghost of a Good Thing

Song- Ghost of a Good Thing
Artist- Dashboard Confessional
Album- A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar
Release- August 19, 2003
Writer- Chris Carrabba

I love this song, I think the lyrics are pretty much self explanatory.
Its about chasing the ghost of a good relationship, and missing out on the real thing. I love this song because i don't believe in getting back with an ex, once its over its over and you should try to remember the good and not make it bad by trying to fix something that is broken.
Like the song says "Just bend the pieces till they fit, Like they were made for it,But they weren't meant for this".

LYRICS

I guess it's luck but it's the same, Hard luck you've been trying to tame, Maybe it's love but it's like you said "Love is like a role that we play.

But I believe in you so much, I could die for the words that you say, But i believe in you so much, I could die from the words that you say.

But you're chasing the ghost of a good thing, Haunting yourself as the real thing Is getting away from you again, While you're chasing ghosts.

I guess it's luck but it's the same, Hard luck you've been trying to tame, Maybe it's love but it's like you said, "Love is like a role that we play"

But I believe in you so much I could die for the words that you say,But i believe in you so much, I could die from the words that you say.

But you're chasing the ghost of a good thing, Haunting yourself as the real thing Is getting away from you again, While you're chasing ghosts.

Just bend the pieces till they fit, Like they were made for it, But they weren't meant for this, No they weren't meant for this.

Just bend the pieces till they fit, Like they were made for it, But they weren't meant for this

Chasin' the ghost of a good thing, Haunting yourself as the real thing Is getting away, away, away, away from you again

Chasin' the ghost of a good thing, Haunting yourself as the real thing Is getting away from you again, While you're chasing ghosts.

Not Music or Film related but important

This is really not music or film related and I promise i wont do this often but, its something that has been on my mind.

Today is September 11 and it marks the 6th anniversary of the 911 attacks in 2001, and it makes me extremely sad that i have not heard or seen anything on it.
The fact that CNN gave more attention to the Paris Hilton arrest, than remembering the heroes of 911 makes me sick to my stomach and makes me want to throw up.
How the fuck is a stupid rich slut more important than the heroes of 911? I Don't get it.
How could so many people just forget 911?
Did the family of the people who died on the planes and in the towers forget? No!
How about the kids that will never meet their mom or dad? No!
It makes me sad that my country and my people are so lost, because there is no other word for it, they are lost. how can someone care more about who Paris Hilton is fucking than capturing the man the hurt our country so bad and broke so many hearts?

As an American i remember every moment of that day, i remember the fear and sadness i felt that day and it pisses me off that it seems that so many people have forgotten September 11, 2001.

I always say don't dwell on the past and i standby that, we must not dwell but we should remember, because it seems that our dear president Bush has forgotten that Osama Bin Laden is still out there and is still threatening our nation.

President Bush says we are fighting the war against terrorism, but i don't believe that, Bin Laden is still out there and we are as safe as we were on 911.

So even though this is not music or film related, i thought it was important to say don't forget 911 because as difficult as it may be to remember it has affected us all and changed the world that we live in.

Help (Film) Announcement

I´m very excited that The Beatles film Help will be released on DVD October 29 or 30 i´m not sure.

This is great, I don´t know if they sell Help in England but they don´t in the US, i couldn't´t even find it on Netflix, i could only find The Making of Help.

So what i did was me and my friend put our money together and bought it together on Ebay. It was very funny, It was the Korean bootleg version.
The quality was fine but it had all Korean subtitles and the menu was in Korean.

But me and my friend loved/love The Bealtes so much that we were satisfied, even though it was in the Korean bootleg version. Lol

I liked A Hard Days Night better though, but i love so many of the songs in Help and its The Beatles so i love it anyways.

Don´t Look Back In Anger

Song- Don´t Look Back In Anger
Artist- Oasis
Album- (What´s The Story) Morning Glory?
Release- February 19, 1996
Writer- Noel Gallagher

You will be seeing a lot of Oasis on this blog because after The Beatles, they are my fave band. So i guess they are my fave band that are still together.

I love this song, to be honest i love all songs that Noel sings, because even though i think Liam has a great Rock n Roll voice, I feel that when Noel sings he means it more.
The reason i like this song so much is because i feel like it describes me or me in the past and i loved listening to this song back when i was going through all that, i related to it and i still do.
I think its overall just a smart song.
Noel Gallagher is simply one of the best songwriters around.
My favorite line is ¨Her soul slides away, but don´t look back in anger... i heard you say¨

LYRICS
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Will slowly fade away

So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside the summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out

And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say

Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows, if it's night or day.
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock 'n Roll band
Who'll throw it all away

I'm gonna start the revolution from my bed
'Cos you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside cos summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cos you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out

And So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by.
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say

So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away,
but don't look back in anger
I heard you say

And So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late and she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger
I heard you say

At least not today.

About a Boy

I love this film. I loved the book too.
I read the book first, because i love Nick Hornby and i loved the book, i saw that the movie got pretty good reviews so i decided to see. I went to see it expecting the worse (every time a book is turned into a film i usually don´t like film) but i loved the film, they did change the ending, but its something that i could have seen in the book and i loved that i remembered most of the dialogue.
Hugh Grant as always is great and Nicholas Hoult is fantastic as Marcus.

The film and book is about Marcus a 12-year old boy who is an outsider, feels lonely, is somewhat forced into taking certain responsibilities and takes life too seriously for being 12, Will is 30-something year old who has no responsibilities, doesn't take life too seriously and is searching without really wanting to find out what is the meaning of his life is, and the relationship and bond they both form and how the change each others life.

The film is funny, witty and intelligent. I 100% recommend this film its in my top 10 of all time, i also recommend reading the book.
